How to properly Uninstall (remove)  vSphere Data Protection 6.1 from VMware vCenter Server

To uninstall vSphere Data Protection from vCenter Server:
1. Power off vSphere Data Protection appilance
2. Remove any attached disks
3. Right click the appliance and Delete from disk.
4. Remove the vSphere Data Protection plug-in from vCenter Server using the Managed Object Browser

Open https://yourvcenterip/mob in a web browser and login with your credentials:

– Click content > extensionmanager.

– Click unregisterextension.

– In the text field provided enter:

   For VDP 5.1: com.vmware.vdp, for VDP 5.5/5.8/6.x: com.vmware.vdp2  then com.vmware.vdp2.config

– Click Invoke Method to remove the plug-in
